Rudrabhishek Puja is performed to invoke the blessings of Lord Rudra, Lord Shiva’s strongest manifestation. The goal of this puja is to eliminate and overcome any obstacles that one may face in life. In order to obtain the blessings of Lord Shiva, Lord Ram performed Rudrabhishek in Rameshwaram prior to going to war with Ravan.
