Description
The Hindu occasion of Dussehra Puja, otherwise called Vijaya Dashami, is seen on the 10th day following Navratri and honors the triumph of good over evil. Dussehra is commended for two notable reasons, the focal one being the triumph of temperance over evil. A few Hindus commended this puja as the triumph of Lord Rama over Ruler Ravan, while others considered it to be the triumph of Goddess Durga against the evil Mahishasura.
The festival of Dussehra urges devotees to walk the way of goodness and truth and helps in the acknowledgment of good prevailing over evil.
