The Brihaspati Vrat Udyapan Puja is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is observed on Thursdays. The Vrat should be followed for 16 consecutive Thursdays, with the 17th Thursday reserved for the Vrat Udyapan. By performing this vrat and udyapan, one can attain happiness and fulfill their desires.

Male devotees should observe this Vrat every Thursday for 16 weeks, culminating in the mandatory Udyapan on the 17th Thursday. Female devotees must observe the Vrat for 16 Thursdays, excluding their menstrual periods. After completing the 16 Thursdays, they can perform the Udyapan on the 17th Thursday.

On each Thursday, those observing the Vrat should recite the Brihaspativar Vrat Katha.
